Talk a walk through the historical streets of Zwingenberg, you will find opportunities to think and reflect. Places of interest are:

Bergkirche – The Church on the Hill
A focal point that can be seen from far away, standing high above the market place and the landmark of the town.

Aul
A two storey round tower, part of the old town wall.

Auf dem Berg
A street full of interesting, historical timber framed houses.

Das Schlosschen – the Town Hall
Originally a small castle built in 1520 and used as the Town Hall since 1969

Hotel zum Löwen
The oldest building outside the town wall, built in 1520.

Scheuergasse
Two rows of barns that, when filled with straw posed a fire risk, had to be outside the town wall.

Wasserburg
The ruins of a castle, reputed to be the oldest building in Zwingenberg.

The Magistrates Court
Built in 1563 and originally the hunting lodge of the Dukes of Hessen.

The new Market Place
Standing since the 17th century on the site of the castle and its moat.

Obergasse and the old Market Place
This old street still shows the original plan of the old market Place.

Sport
If you enjoy walking this is a complex of signposted walks each with rest places along the way. Or, take a scenic route through the wonderful countryside and enjoy the views.
